Storytelling Projects

Shortwave Stories

A short-form public radio series featuring true stories written and performed by award-winning Ohio storyteller Aaron Calafato. Paired with an original sonic score, each episode finds deeper meaning in the small moments we often overlook—true stories from one life that somehow belong to us all.

Because sometimes, the shortest distance between us is a story.

Night Stories LIVE!

Joined by his co-hosts Cori, Lisa and special guests, Aaron Calafato’s Night Stories is designed for the perfect kind of late-night, nostalgic listening. Recorded live and adapted for on-demand listening, each episode blends commentary, humor, and reflection with a retro, late-night texture that feels familiar and alive.

Executive Producer

Also Known For

Everyone knows the breakout role but what about everything that came after? Also Known For flips the script on the interview by celebrating the creative lives beyond the credits. Actor and musician Thomas Ian Nicholas (known for Rookie of the Year and American Pie) sits down with artists, actors and creators to explore what they’re Also Known For from new projects to hidden passions and career reinventions. Featuring guests like Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup), Patrick Renna (The Sandlot) and Diedrich Bater (The Drew Carey Show and Office Space) each episode mixes honest conversation, behind-the-scenes stories and a touch of nostalgia without getting stuck in the past. Familiar faces and the unexpected side of the people you thought you knew.

Inside Job

Serial entrepreneur Matt Sunbulli (founder of First Draft AI and co-founder of Fishbowl) and storyteller Aaron Calafato (creator of 7 Minute Stories and Shortwave Stories, airing on NPR affiliates), unpack the most pressing issues shaping careers, the job market, and workers’ lives in the age of AI. Through real stories, conversations, and data, Inside Job explores what’s changing, what it means for workers, and how to make sense of work when the old rules no longer apply.
